I tend to avoid “networking” parties, not much gets done. I come home with pockets of business cards that end up in the trash, which is why I don’t have a business card. However, I may check out this GeekAustin.org WordPress 2.5 release party.
I’ve given a few years of my life to WordPress, I know her well. Not that I’ve memorized internal functions, but I’ll be impressed if I talk to a partygoer knowing what “post->ID” is. Even more impressed if she’s single and a fan of my work. I can dream can’t I?
Seriously though this sounds like an important release. Blogging is booming, Automattic is kicking ass and I live only a few miles from downtown. Don’t be surprised if I’m at the party popping riffraff-proof WP quiz questions.
