Remember the days when Myspace had no private pages, no private pictures? And you remember what happened right? Everyone got scared their kid was getting stalked by a psycho. It was all over the news.

Look up “PGP encryption”. PGP stands for “Pretty Good Privacy” and I’m pretty sure it’s pretty hard to crack, from what I’ve heard. Chances are you don’t need that level of secrecy, or maybe you do. Do you? Come on, I won’t tell anybody, you can trust me ;-)
But seriously. I made the point of telling you nothing is secure because that might make you think twice before entering “sensitive” information into your computer. Assume your computer is not private and you can stop thinking about privacy, then you have less to worry about. Probably nobody will ever hack you, but isn’t it better to err on the safe side, exercising caution? I’m telling you right now, passwords don’t totally protect you. Act accordingly!
