At this point the VGA (1920×1080) is usable and the HDMI (tested on two PCs) is not. Why does VGA look better than HDMI, I have no idea, but I believe it’s a Samsung issue. As long as the VGA is working, I’m not very concerned about the HDMI blurriness.

I’m probably not your average consumer, I spend many hours reading text online. I didn’t buy the 2333HD to watch videos or movies. So I probably should have done more research with that in mind before committing to looking at it for thousands of hours.

So after spending some quality time with the 2333HD, I’m realizing I would rather not have a matte finish. It’s my own fault–as a picture framer (of artwork) I already know for sure I do not like non-glare surfaces. I was not thinking ahead–I was more focused on cost, convenience, other factors.

This is what I do for a living…troubleshooting commercial electronics. You’ve replaced the cable. Check the monitor on another pc. Or, put another monitor on your laptop. You have isolated the issue.
